Selection of Laws Recently Amended

The following laws have recently been amended:

  • The Associations Law, published in the Official Gazette on September 1, 2013, was amended on April 4, 2017 through Legislative Decree No. 244. The amendments and additions to the law cover the terms and establishment of associations and cooperatives, the funding sources of associations, and the reporting of revenue, expenses, monitoring, and compliance. A complete list of amendments to the law can be found in Official Gazette Extraordinary Issue No. 1257.
  • The Law on International Conventions and treaties was amended on May 2, 2017 through Legislative Decree No. 24. The amendments address letters of credit, authorizations, the requirement for signature on international treaties and conventions, and the procedures governing international treaties with different institutions.
  • The Telecommunications Law, published in the Official Gazette on July 10, 2010, was amended on February 17, 2017 via Legislative Decree No. 24. The amendments concern improved functioning of telecommunications systems, particularly with regard to electronic communications and broadcasting.
